Rescue exists to provide a safety net for all Corgis — Corgis who lose their homes to divorce, moving, death of the owner, behavior problems, and any other myriad reason.
Adopting a Corgi through club or private rescue is a satisfying way to find your next family member. You will be asked to fill out an application form, be interviewed, and to have a home inspection to determine suitability. Emphasis is on matching your personality and situation to the needs of a particular dog. There is usually a small charge for rescue dogs to cover spay or neuter, care while in rescue, and the costs of administering a rescue program.
If you need to find a new home for your Corgi, rescue is the best solution! Your dog’s personality and behavior will be evaluated by experienced Corgi rescue personnel. Your dog will receive training and medical care necessary to facilitate placement. Then a home will be found with a carefully screened family, chosen just for your dog! For the rest of your Corgi’s life, the rescue organization will be available to him or her as a safety net.
To find the best possible second home for your Corgi, or to apply to adopt a rescue Corgi, contact the appropriate rescue organizations for your area…
